Project 4 : Sculpture

Assalamualaikum

For our forth project, we are required to produce a sculpture.

The sculpture must follow the theme which is sustainability.

Actually, I was decided to make a sculpture
by using tissues.
I made a cat sculpture and put the tissues all over it.
Unfortunately, my sculpture had been rejected since it didnt follow
the theme.
T-T

yup I know it was totally a crap =,="

I was so sad and totally down at that time as I had only two days
to complete my project before the submission.
And we also had our orientation day on that days.
But, I was glad because all people around me wouldnt stop
supporting me.
They gave me some ideas and materials for the sculpture.



And finally I came out with this idea.
It was actually a lamp.

 


But it gave me an idea on how my sculpture would look like.

I use ping pong balls and pop sticks for my sculpture.
I try to adapt the theme of sustainability by choosing a part
of the bird's wings.
As we know, bird's strength depends on their wing
and they can not fly without it.
Same goes to us.
We do not have wings to fly but we have our inner strength
to be strong to face the hardships in life.
The helix structure of the ping pong balls shows the
pathways of our life that we have to go through
from bottom to top.
